Very’s chief customer officer named among Top 100 in marketing

The Very Group’s chief customer officer, Jessica Myers, has been named as one of the UK’s most effective marketers by Marketing Week.

The publication’s Top 100 list spotlights the UK’s top marketers who work across a range of industries, including FMCG, financial services, general retail and charity.

Judged by industry experts, the list recognises individuals who contribute to business success, influence within their organisation and wider sector, as well as showcase innovative thinking and leadership.

Jessica joined the Very team back in 2022 as the chief marketing officer, before extending her remit in May 2024 to include ecommerce, digital customer experience, data and analytics, bringing together multiple teams to create a customer-focused centre of excellence.  

Having played a pivotal in the creation of our ‘Let’s make it sparkle’ brand platform, Jess’ creative thinking has underpinned the Group’s most recent ad campaigns – including the Christmas ad, which was ranked as the second most persuasive ad of 2023, according to Kantar. 

Plus, Jess and her team were instrumental in the creation of Very Media Group. Having launched last month, Very Media Group is a reimagining of the retail media proposition which brings together brand, creative, data and insight to help brand partners transform the media planning and strategy.

 Jessica said: “I’m incredibly proud to be recognised alongside so many inspiring individuals who are doing incredible things in the marketing space. Our customers have always been at the centre of what we do here at Very, but thanks to our comprehensive customer data, our marvelous in-house teams and supportive partners, we’ve been able to take this one step further and bring our brand to life.
