The Very Group announces new partnership with Bright Future Co-operative
February 14, 2025
The Very Group, which operates digital retailer Very, has partnered with Bright Future Co-operative to support survivors of modern slavery.
Bright Future Co-operative strives to see survivors of modern slavery fully restored and living in freedom with dignity, by supporting their return to paid employment and reintegration into society. Since launching in 2017, the organisation has placed almost 100 candidates in roles across the UK.
The partnership with The Very Group will offer survivors an accessible pathway to safe and stable employment opportunities within Very’s own operations.
Francesca White head of ESG at The Very Group, said: “Bright Future Co-operative is an organisation which is making a difference to the lives of those who have survived modern slavery. As a business, we are committed to not only creating a supportive and inclusive environment but also contributing to a future where everyone has the chance to succeed. I'm proud that we're able to get involved with this initiative.”
Izzie Budler, Bright Future Co-operative manager, commented: “Without businesses like The Very Group, we wouldn’t be able to help survivors find roles and get back on their feet. We work with our business members to prevent re-exploitation and help survivors reach sustainable independence.”
The new partnership with Bright Futures Co-operative is the latest initiative introduced as part of The Very Group’s ongoing commitment to tackle the impacts of modern slavery.
